I really wish I didn't have work later...but eh, it's a short shift, will go by fast, and will be good for the money at least. Last night was fun partying with Matt and his friends. I managed to get pretty slammed, but considering I didn't throw up or anything it's all good. Just never play the Starcraft boardgame as your getting progressively drunker. Now on to another day...

The Affiliates, who have been together since November last year have accomplished their third major milestone by gigging in public for the first time at a modest venue - Chambers Bar in Dundee! Thanks to everyone who came to watch, we all enjoyed ourselves and we all got free beer for it too!

Another little therian-related drabble about a random happening today involving me threating to throw one of the CounselorInTraining kids into the lake for getting my book wet. (I work at a summer camp currently)

People around me learn quickly that I follow through on my threats.

Also this guy may be homeless but he's not crazy. He's just an entertainer trying to promote care about the city and our future children, while being entertaining at the same time, so if you see him, spare him some change ^.-/\/

Nothing to beware of yet, but I wanted to make sure. I could use you guys' advice.


So I was contacted by this person on DeviantART (her profile said she was 14) saying that her father was interested in hiring me for an illustration job. I got his email and a link to his DA account, and was told to email him saying what my prices are.

Since I had no idea what the job entailed and what the purpose was, I decided to inquire to see what was up. He tells me the job is for a small toy company he is presenting ideas to. He wants three illustrations, but I'm still not sure what he really wants and what the purpose of my illustrations will be. He attached a picture he did, a mangled version of my Elemental Fire Fox piece and says he wants this but as a snake, a lion and a wolf. It's the head and front legs of the fox and pieces of fire connected with large awkward black blocks. My watermark is not found anywhere on the picture.

I would show you guys what it look like, but I get red-x syndrome every time I try to put it in photobucket. =/

He tells me that if the company chooses my art (which he apparently using to present his ideas) that there will be a job. That the toys will be sold in South American and possibly the US.

This seems iffy because:
a) The person's 14 year old daughter contacted me for this job, not himself. That's a little bizarre, why wouldn't he send me a note or an email himself?

b) He's already assuming he can use existing artwork of mine to present to this company, which I never said he could. He mangled a piece I did without my permission, which already rubs me the wrong way....

c) Vague city! What will these illustrations be used for? Who is paying me (him or the toy company)? What are the toys going to be like? What is the name of the toy company?

I'm afraid that if this IS something I shouldn't pass up, telling him he shouldn't have mangled my art will ruin the oppertunity for me. I simply don't know how to respond to this guy, or what to make of this. Also, how do I price each illustration if it's for a package design?

Not too sure on all this, so any feedback is a good thing! ^^;

So artists, do beware. This girl's money is NOT worth the time, harassment, and general emotional discomfort you'll experience. She's the worst commissioner I've EVER had. It's ridiculous how much stress she and her posse will put on you. Take my advice and just avoid this girl.

Hi everyone!

Back in February at FWA, Foxwell Foxcoon commissioned me for a custom furry tshirt featuring his character. In May, I finished his sketch like agreed, and sent it to him on May 29th with the sketch for him to approve before I began coloring. No response. I emailed him again on June 22nd, asking if he was okay, and I resent the sketch. No response. I emailed him again today on July 16th and am hoping to get a response from him, but I doubt I will.

Now, I'm not saying he's a bad client. I think he's a great client. Clients usually respond quickly about their commissions. ;) If they need to approve a sketch, they do so quickly... most of the time. They usually only mess around when it comes to payments. lol I'm just hoping something bad didn't happen to the poor guy. Frankly, if he doesn't want to contact me back, that's perfectly okay with me. I can just work on other commissions in the time being. Free money. :3 However, I think it is odd that he would commission me, especially with my high prices, and not respond so I can finish his commission which he is looking forward to, hence, why I am suspicious something happened. :( I just want to know he's okay.

Does anyone know Foxwell? Do you know if he is alright? For the time being, and as I stated in my email to him today, his commission is now officially on hold. I'll work on it again once he contacts me. I can't do anything more with it until he approves that sketch anyways. I just hope he is alright.

So I gots an electric can opener - some cheapo thing that one of my cousins bought for me.
It was working fine for a couple months, but now it doesn't open anything efficiently. Now, it opens cans up half way. Then stops. When I try to open a can past half either it releases the can, or the motor starts making a low buzz/hum noise. And no, cans aren't bent. Time for a new one (no, NOT another electric one!).

Shoulda talked em into spending that extra $5 for a good manual one >.<

In other news: My coffee maker sucks. Pretty bad when 711 tastes better than what I get out of that thing. Blech!

The following is a list of the equipment, I've put down as much detail as I can. Where things are claimed, I will strike through the equipment and note the name of the person next to it.

2 80mm rubber fan noise cancellers
1 80mm exhaust fan, slightly old, bit dusty.
One stock P4 cooler (fan and heatsink (fan came off of heatsink when removing from motherboard, unsure if fan unit is damaged, but it looks okay)) Needs a little dusting and the removal of the old thermal compound. - Xag
An ABIT Secure IDE component. I never used this, it just came free wih the motherboard I had. It apparently encrypts things on an IDE hard drive. (NOT SATA)
A Zalman silent Northbridge cooler. Set up for use with motherboards with hooks only (since I lost the other parts to it)
Intel P4 HT 3gig Processor (the thermal compound on this seems to have gone onto the pins. The pins are in good order, but the compound will need cleaning off before use. I don't know how it got on there x.x) - Xag

- There is no warranty on these items. They were working last time I used them, however they are very old and have been sitting under my bed in the open. They have however been resting however on an anti static bag and not on the carpet. (I don't have storage room for them so it is the best I could do).
- I hold no responsibilty if the items do not work when they arrive. Last time I did - the mail company broke the motherboard I sold and I lost out big time on that one. I know it sounds harsh, but I don't want that happening again.
- I will ship international, but that of course will cost extra.
